Food is not an option,”      Bill Pappas

Our Food Pantry is “a food pantry of choice”. Our guests are able to select the food most needed, enjoyed and culturally appropriate for their homes. There is always a variety of food choices from fresh produce, breads, dairy, meat, fish, etc. Selections change daily based upon donations received.

Registration is the single requirement for any household that seeks to utilize this food pantry.  We simply require identification for each person living in the home and proof of residency. Acceptable IDs are any photo ID, driver’s license, passport, birth certificate, health insurance card, social security card or State of Connecticut ID.  A recent utility bill, lease or rent receipt may be presented to establish proof of residency. (Generic mail is no longer accepted as proof of residency).

Once registered, EVERYONE shops by appointment.

No one is turned away from receiving food.  In the event an individual lives outside the greater Wallingford/Meriden community and is experiencing a food emergency – a simple call to the Food Pantry Manager at the facility (203) 678-3402 will initiate assistance.  Emergency food assistance will be provided and resources closer to home will be provided.

We encourage our shoppers to visit the Connecticut Foodshare mobile sites.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR GROCERY BAGS.

SHOPPING CARTS ARE PROVIDED AT THE FACILITY FOR YOUR SHOPPING CONVENIENCE.

Home Delivery

In the event you are a Wallingford resident who is homebound and unable to shop for yourself and require food deliveries to your residence, please call (203) 678-3042 to speak with the Executive Director.

Home delivery food boxes are prepared and delivered each Friday.

A preliminary interview and possibly a home visit may be required prior to initiating home-bound food deliveries.  This interview provides Master’s Manna with information necessary to assure appropriate food choices for the home-bound individual(s) are made. Once the interview is conducted and approved, the recipient is added to the Friday delivery schedule.

This service may be arranged for a short term for those recovering from surgery, illness or injury as examples.  However, when and/or if the need is greater, this service can be arranged for either a longer period of time, or a permanent basis.
